Tours
Learn
how to get the most out of your library. Find out about our
special collections, visit the Robert Peacock Lounge local
history room, or see our beautiful outdoor Moore Packaging
Reading Garden.
Library
tours are available to schools, community groups and the general
public. Tours provide an orientation to the services, resources,
programmes and facilities of the Barrie Public Library, and
can be customised to the requirements of your group. Tours
are generally 45 minutes in length. Tours for any group are
also available in French.
How to
book a tour
- Book
at least one month in advance of date.
- Call
either Information Desk at 705-728-1010, ext. 7019 (children's)
or ext. 7020 (adult), to book a date. For French tours call
Patricia (ext. 7000).
- For
those who are eligible
for membership, but do not already have a card,
we can have cards prepared. Submit completed forms [pdf] at least one week prior to the
tour.
If you
are planning on bringing a large group to the library, but
do not need a tour, we still ask that you give us the courtesy
of a call, so we can be better prepared to provide library
service.
