Congratulations to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Elementary School on their victory in the 2009 Grand Battle. Students from the St. Catherine team were Kasia, Melissa, Hillary, Katherine, Justin, Annalisa, Jessica, Sarah, Jacklyn, Nicole, Alex and Matt. The students were coached by teacher Wayne Luymes.

Congratulations also go to Monsignor Clair Catholic Elementary School on their silver medal and to Algonquin Ridge Elementary School on their bronze medal. The other Grand Battle finalists were Good Shepherd Catholic School, Kempenfelt Bay School, Allandale Heights/Hewitt’s Creek Elementary School, St. Bernadette Catholic School and Ferndale Woods Elementary School.

Thank you also to the following schools for supporting this programme and demonstrating such great team spirit in the semi-battles: Andrew Hunter, Assikinack, Codrington, Holly Meadows, Maple Grove, Mapleview Heights, St. John Vianney, St. Monica’s, Steele Street, Terry Fox, Trillium Woods, W.R. Best Memorial, Warnica and West Bayfield.
