As per the Barrie Public Library Membership Policy, a member may query his/her library account records upon presentation of his/her library membership card or other sufficient identification. Upon presentation of his/her child’s library membership card or other sufficient identification, a patron may query the records of his/her minor-age (age 17 and under) children or wards.

Linked Accounts:  Patrons may choose to link their accounts with one or many patron accounts.  Linked accounts provide all members of the linked group with full access to each account, including personal information as defined in the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (1990) and account details. Barrie Public Library is not liable for any loss, damage, or injuries that may result due to this accessing of personal information by linked patrons.

In order to consent to a linked account, all parties must be physically present at the library and request the link.

It is the responsibility of each individual patron to notify the Barrie Public Library of any changes/cancellations to access permissions and any party may choose to sever the link at any time by notifying library staff.
