Reciprocal borrowing agreements exist with Midland and Orillia libraries. Upon presentation of a valid Midland or Orillia library membership card and current address identification, a Barrie library card will be issued free of charge. Barrie library members are entitled to the same privilege at both these libraries.

An agreement also exists with Georgian College. Upon presentation of a valid Georgian College student or library card and current address identification, a Barrie library card will be issued free of charge. Barrie library members are entitled to the same privilege at the Library Commons at Georgian College.

Residents of Oro / Medonte are entitled to regular membership at Barrie Public Library. See Get a Card for more details
